Face of Nation : In Uttar Pradesh, the law student, who has accused the former Union Minister Swami Chinmayanand of rape and blackmail, was today brought to a court in Shahjahanpur under heavy security for recording her statement. The statement of the girl is being recorded under 164 in Chief Judicial Magistrate court in Shahjahanpur district. The girl was produced in court by SIT and escorted by several police women as she arrived in court.
The girl, a second-year student at a law college in Shahjahanpur run by Chinmayanand, has accused the former Union Minister of sexually assaulting her for over an year. Special Investigation Team constituted after court order has already recorded statements of Chinmayanand and the victim girl.
