Face of Nation : A life-threatening fire is bearing down on a small Gold Coast hinterland community. People in Binna Burra have been told to seek shelter because bushfires have made it too dangerous to leave. Residents who are outside the area should not return home because the the conditions are too dangerous, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services says. The fire is burning between MacKenzie Road and Binna Burra Road, south of Beechmont Road and tearing in southerly direction towards Binna Burra.
