Face of Nation : Delhi- Protem Speaker of the 17th Lok Sabha will be BJP MP Dr. Virendra Kumar. Virendra, who is coming from a dalit community, will take oath of new membership of the House. In the previous tenure of the Modi government, he was made Minister of State for Central Women and Child Development and Minority Affairs. He has been elected Member of Parliament for the third consecutive term from Tikamgarh Lok Sabha constituency. Four times he won the elections from the Sagar Lok Sabha seat.
Earlier it was discussed that Santosh Gangwar Promoted Speaker will be made an eight-time MP from Bareilly. Last year, Santosh Gangwar rejected the discussion about making Protem Speaker. He said that after becoming a minister, he could not be a Protem Speaker. This post will be given to someone else. According to sources, the prospect of becoming a Protem Speaker of the former union minister Maneka Gandhi was being expressed. He has been elected MP from Sultanpur again.
