Face of Nation : Maleah Davis, the Houston girl whose remains were discovered earlier this month, loved “My Little Pony.” And for the 4-year-old’s funeral, her father, Craig Davis Jr., had her casket decorated with a blue cartoon pony which Maleah is pictured to be riding.
“Maleah’s favorite color was pink and she loved My Little Pony, all the girly things one could imagine,” her obituary said.
The sides of the casket are covered with a rainbow of ponies and inside her full name is spelled out in pink, purple and blue letters along the base. Davis posted images of the “My Little Pony”-themed casket on his Instagram account.
In her obituary, her family said that Maleah was “happiness personified.”
She loved to spend time with her two brothers, and she never missed a second to pose with them in front of a camera, according to her obituary.
“Maleah spread love and laughter wherever she went,” the obituary read. “She has left a profound message of love on this world that will never be forgotten.”

Maleah’s remains were found after Derion Vence, the ex-fiance of Maleah’s mother Brittany Bowens, admitted to local activist Quanell X that Maleah was dead and he left her body near the side of a road in Arkansas.
He told Quanell X that the girl’s death was accidental. Vence was arrested in May.
A private funeral will take place June 22.
