Face of Nation : Justin Bieber has incredibly agreed to fight Hollywood A-lister Tom Cruise in an unbelievable UFC showdown — which could prove the biggest clash of all time.
The 25-year-old pop superstar recently called out the 56-year-old Mission Impossible star and demanded they meet in the Octagon, tagging UFC boss Dana White in the message.
Last week, he then completely backed out, admitting the challenge was a joke and that Cruise would probably take him down.
“It was just a random tweet,” he explained. “I do that stuff sometimes. I think he’d probably whup my a** in a fight. I’d have to get in some good shape.”
The day after his initial tweet, he backed up his call out with a video of how the fight would probably go.
But the joke may just come to reality with American website TMZ reporting Bieber has agreed to the bout and White wants to make it happen.
TMZ claim Ari Emanuel, the co-CEO of the William Morris Endeavor agency that owns UFC, did a conference call with Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun and UFC supremo White.
Braun is reported to have made it “clear” that Bieber would “absolutely” fight Cruise — who had a bare knuckle fight scene in 1992 film Far and Away — if the Top Gun icon was up for it too.
And it is further claimed that Emanuel “strongly believes” Cruise, who is in amazing physical shape for his age, would agree to enter the Octagon.
White, 49, has previously spoken about the bout — which would surely eclipse even the astonishing popularity of the 2018 fight between YouTube stars KSI and Logan Paul.
The MMA boss said: “So I’m gonna tell you something interesting, obviously, this thing came out — lots of people will talk about fighting somebody in the UFC, things like that.
“Whether it’s NFL players, or celebrities or whatever, it happens a lot. So obviously I saw it like everybody else did and I didn’t pay much attention to it.
“It picked up a lot of steam and was everywhere. I’m not gonna say any names but I’m just gonna tell you that I got a phone call from a couple of real guys that said that they really do want to do this fight and they believe that Tom Cruise would do the fight.
“And I told them, ‘Well, I’ll tell you this, if that’s true, if that’s true and everybody involved in this thing really wants to do it, we can talk’.
“Let me tell you what, I’d be an idiot not to make this fight. That would be the easiest fight to ever promote in the history of my career.”While some people are sceptical of the fight taking place, others are keen to see the pair go toe-to-toe.
Canadian, Bieber, one of the biggest pop stars in the world, who is estimated to have sold around 140 million records would likely have to put on some muscle for the fight.
Cruise, who believes in Scientology, a controversial body of religious beliefs and practices, has not responded to the message as yet.
And if Tom Cruise isn’t keen, former Jackass star Steve-O is keen to get in the octagon.
