Face of Nation : Kolkata-West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday unveiled the statue of Ishwarachandra Vidyasagar at College Street and Vidyasagar College in Kolkata. On 4th May, a BJP clash between the BJP and Trinamool activists took place during the road show of the BJP president. In it the statue of Vidyasagar was broken.
Mamta said, “After the Lok Sabha elections, 8 out of Trinamool and 2 BJP workers have been killed in the violence spreading in the state. This is unfortunate. All the workers killed by the Chief Secretary of the state will ask for financial help to the families. “They claim that the BJP is trying to make Bengal a Gujarat. I am ready to go to jail but it will not happen.
