Face of Nation : Super 30, featuring Hrithik Roshan as the protagonist, continued its winning streak as it collected Rs 4.47 crore on its third Saturday. The growth in business from third Friday, when the film earned Rs 2.14 crore, is a phenomenal 108.88 per cent. Its total collection, after a 16-day run in cinemas, stands at Rs 120.32 crore.

Movie critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, in a tweet on Sunday, predicted that the film will “comfortably cross” the Rs 130 crore-mark in days to come, and may even go beyond Rs 140 crore.

Super 30 is based on the life of Patna-based mathematician and educationist, Anand Kumar. Kumar, who has been portrayed by Hrithik in the film, is the founder of the Super 30 programme, under which deserving students from the economically-weaker sections of the society are trained for the IIT-JEE exam. Kumar and his family take care of the students’ expenses – from their boarding to their food.

Vikas Bahl, best known for helming 2014’s Queen, is the director of Super 30. While a number of filmmakers had approached Kumar to make a film on his life, he was not impressed by any until Bahl came his way. The professor said he saw the sincerity and dedication in Bahl that he was looking for in a director, who would take his story to the celluloid.
