Face of Nation : Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s second wedding is now Instagram official.
Rumors began swirling last week, after the couple and several of their friends began sharing photos from France, where they had previously said they were planning a second wedding.
Jonas and Turner officially married May 1 in a low-key, Elvis impersonator-officiated Las Vegas ceremony after the Billboard Music Awards. Their ceremony in France was significantly more upscale and brought family, friends and other recognizable stars to celebrate together.
“Mr and Mrs Jonas,” they each captioned the same black and white photo, which shows them walking back up the aisle together after saying “I do.”
Turner wore a custom Louis Vuitton dress, complete with “flower-embroidered tulle and silk gazar with leather satin details,” according to a post from the official Louis Vuitton Instagram account.
Several celebrities and entertainment industry pros shared social media posts Saturday and Sunday with vague, wedding-related captions.
Turner’s best friend and “Game of Thrones” co-star Maisie Williams shared a photo Sunday with the caption “white party for the bride and groom.”
DJ Diplo, who broke news of Turner and Jonas’s first wedding when he live-streamed the Vegas ceremony without permission, also shared a photo from France.
“This is the only photo I got from Joe and Sophie Turner Jonas wedding because they took my phone from me and put in a holding cell during the ceremony. Heard it was lovely tho,” he wrote. Turner’s hair stylist, Christian Wood, posted a photo Saturday of himself in an Alexander McQueen tuxedo with the caption “wedding season.”
Hair company Wella Professionals, which Turner thanked Thursday on Instagram, congratulated the new couple in a series of Instagram Stories on Sunday: “Our girl @sophiet just got married!”
Dr. Phil raised eyebrows the week prior to the nuptials when he commented “1 week to go” and “See you at the wedding” on a photo of Jonas and Turner about to kiss in front of the Eiffel Tower.
Jonas and Turner officially married two months ago in a surprise wedding ceremony. They filed for a marriage certificate earlier the same day, according to Clark County, Nevada, records.
Jonas’ brothers, Nick and Kevin, served as his groomsmen. Their wives, Priyanka Chopra and Danielle Jonas, also attended. Notably absent from the Vegas ceremony was Maisie Williams, whom Turner had previously said would be a maid of honor in her wedding.
Diplo live streamed the wedding on Instagram, during which singer Khalid and actor Tom Holland also could be seen. Joe Jonas shared a video of Diplo on his own Instagram story earlier that night.
Diplo’s video included the couple’s vows: “I promise you, I will never leave you. I will love and trust you, all the days of my life,” they said. “In sickness and in health, forever and ever.”
He and Jonas later had a series of cheeky exchanges on social media, during which Jonas jokingly accused the DJ of “ruining” his secret wedding.
Joe, 29, becomes the final of the Jonas Brothers trio to tie the knot: Nick, 26, married Chopra in late 2018 and Kevin, 31, married Danielle Deleasa in 2009.
