Face of Nation : Bethenny Frankel’s latest feud isn’t with one of her “Real Housewives of New York” costars, but “The View” cohost Sunny Hostin.
Appearing on “Watch What Happens Live” on Thursday night, the “RHONY” star was asked about comments Hostin made about her on the morning show, where Sunny accused her of “yelling” at her children at the beach. The women on the ABC series were discussing Bethenny’s Miami meltdown, when Hostin said she’s witnessed Frankel’s rage firsthand.
“I don’t know. I think she’s been drinking or taking some drugs,” said Frankel when Andy Cohenasked about Hostin’s slam. “I don’t know her.”
After a viewer tweeted that response at Hostin last night, she hit back on Twitter.
“Not surprising that a Reality TV personality who yells and bullies little kids on a beach lies,” she responded. “But I have witnesses @Bethenny. @rmjansen feel free to weigh in. #receipts Oh and @Bethenny – defamation ain’t cute.”
The person she tagged, a friend named Regina Jansen, replied, adding, “Co-signed! @Bethenny you yelled at our kids playing during the day. I was in the house & heard you yelling at our young kids to lower their voices because your baby was sleeping. Heard you & wondered ‘Why is this gown woman yelling over a fence at my child?’ @sunny handled it.”
Hostin later revealed that Frankel had blocked her.
“I don’t know Bethenny, but I’ve seen her behave that way on the beach when she was yelling at my kids,” Hostin said on the June 13 episode of “The View,” as producers in her ear presumably told her to wrap it up. “They’re telling me not to talk about it in my ear.”
After getting the go-ahead from Whoopi Goldberg to keep talking, she said, “I’m just saying, I’ve seen that kind of behavior when Bethenny yelled at my child on the beach.”
“It was on the middle of the day and my child was about 7 playing with other children at about 2:00 in the afternoon and she said that her child was napping inside with the window open and that our children were being too loud on the beach,” Hostin alleged.
“[She] yelled at my child and I went out there and stood in front of my child and I yelled at her and told her adults speak to adults,” Hostin added, literally sipping her tea. “And she knows I’m telling the truth.”
In a 2016 episode, Sunny also talked about the alleged incident, saying the two had rented homes next to each other in the Hamptons when it happened. At the time, she said she told Bethenny, “adults that want to try to intimidate kids are just bullies.”
Hostin claimed Frankel’s ex, Jason Hoppy, apologized and said that Bethenny “was very gracious later,” sending her some SkinnyGirl products.
