Face of Nation : Federal Labor has warned more than a dozen federal government websites are on insecure connections, leaving them vulnerable to cyber attacks. The opposition’s assistant cybersecurity spokesman Tim Watts said 13 Commonwealth websites are on connections which could be subject to attacks by users being redirected to malicious sites. He also said there is the potential for data sent to the government websites to be spied on. “The Morrison government is failing in its duty to provide best practice leadership for everyone in the Australian cyber security ecosystem,” he said. Mr Watts called for the government to appoint a dedicated cybersecurity minister.
