Face of Nation : Emergency services have praised the heroic actions of a neighbour, who helped rescue three people from a burning house in Newcastle overnight.
The blaze broke out inside a block of terrace houses on Beaumont Street, Islington, just before 11 o’clock on Saturday night. The man forced his way inside by breaking a window and kicking in a door – helping a couple and their young daughter escape.Firefighters took more than two hours to extinguish the intense blaze. The cause remains under investigation.
